Volunteer Appreciation Week

by | Apr 19, 2023 | Events

National Volunteer Week (April 16-22) is a time to celebrate and thank Canada’s 24 million volunteers, without whom so many of Canada’s organizations and programs would not be able to function. A critical lack of volunteers is putting non-profit services at risk. The challenge of finding volunteers has been in the forefront the last few years. Organizations are struggling with a shortage of volunteers and have had to reduce services as a result.

At JHS Vic we rely on volunteers to help with many of our programs. We offer mentorship opportunities for disadvantaged youth and people reintegrating into society. JHS Vic is always looking for passionate and committed volunteers who want to make a difference in our community.

We are incredibly grateful to the many people who volunteer with us and will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation BBQ this Saturday, April 22 from 11:30 – 2pm at Rutledge Park. Please contact Ashlee (KidStart PC) or Gab (CAMS PC) if you would like to attend or for more information.
